The Arabic word ‘Islam’ simply means ‘submission’, and is derived from a word meaning ‘peace’. In a religious context it means complete submission to the will of God, Allah.
The other meaning of Islam is peace; peace with the Creator, peace of mind and heart and peace with other fellow human beings. Hence, real happiness is achieved.

Da’wah Training Manual: Dialogue with a non Muslim by Dr Fazal Rahman.
Da’wah means to invite or to summon. Usually understood to mean to preach. Many different ways to invite to Islam; obviously the most important is by example. The Prophet Muhammad ‘gave’ Da’wah through his personality, honesty and truthfulness.

Islamic Society of Wisconsin, Green Bay Masjid will hold annual community dinner on Saturday, December 15, 2012, In Sha’ Allah.
The program will start after Maghrib prayer (immediately after sunset) at Green Bay Masjid on 1512 Velp Avenue, Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA.
Mohamed Zakarya, the Imam of Green Bay Masjid will give an opening speech on “The Importance of Da’wah”. A video on the story of a former Christian youth will be played narrating what led him to accept Islam. Also will be the stories by the local new Muslims. There will be children’s recitation of the Qur’an and Hadith.
The dinner will be served after Ishaa prayer, In Sha’ Allah.
Everyone is invited to the event.
